Caramel Corn

1. Pop corn. Boil sugar, butter, corn syrup and salt for 5 minutes or until mixture reaches the simple syrup state (230°F) when soft threads form in ice water. Remove from heat. 2. Add vanilla, stir. Add baking soda and stir in popped corn. Add nut assortment. Stir until well coated. Pour into a greased 13x9" dish and bake in a 250°F oven for one hour. Stir every 15 minutes. A great snack to munch on in front of the fire. |
