Cherry Clafoutis

Feeling oh so French

2 cups 500 ml   Cherries, halves and pitted
0.75 cup 190 ml   Flour
2   Eggs
0.3 cup 90 ml   Sugar
1 cup 250 ml   Milk
0.25 cup 60 ml   Cream
2 tbsp 30 ml   Butter

1. Wash and pit the cherries, and line them on the bottom of a greased pie dish. Sift the flour and sugar together, then add the eggs and whisk until smooth.

2. Stir in the milk, cream and melted butter and mix until combined. Pour the batter over the cherries, and place in the oven.

3. Bake the clafoutis for 30-40 minutes, until a knife or skewer comes out clean. Dust lightly with icing sugar before serving.
