Ginger Snaps

Spicy Gems of Ginger

0.75 cup   butter
1 cup   sugar
0.25 cup   molasses
1   egg
2 cups   all purpose flour
2 tsp   baking soda
1 tsp   cinnamon
0.5 tsp   cloves
0.5 tsp   ginger
0.25 tsp   salt
0.5 tsp   allspice
1. Preheat oven to 350F. Cream butter, sugar, egg and molasses together. Add flour, baking soda, spices and salt to creamed mixture. Mix well.

2. Shape into 1" balls. Place on cookie sheet, flatten and bake at 350F for 10 to 12 minutes. Cool on rack.
