Mashed Yams


Ta Dah!

Ingredients
3   Yams (give or take depending on size).
4   Cloves of Garlic, minced.
0.25 cup 60 ml   Milk
2 tbsp 30 ml   Butter
2 tsp 10 ml   Black Pepper
0.25 cup 60 ml   Pecans, chopped.
 
1. Peel yams and chop into quarters. Bring a medium pot of water to boil. Add the yams, and cook until very soft-around 10-15 minutes.

2. Drain water. Add milk, butter, garlic, and pepper to the yams. Mash well.

3. Toss pecans on top. Sauteing the pecans in balsamic vinegar, chili and curry powder or brown sugar beforehand, would add a little tasty zing.
