Meat in a loaf, what else?

1.5 lb   ground meat
1   egg, beaten
0.5 cup   bread crumbs
1 tbsp   parsley, chopped
1   red onion, chopped
3   cloves of garlic, minced
2 tbsp   worcestershire sauce
1 tbsp   chili sauce
0.25 cup   salsa
1 tsp   sea salt
1 tsp   ground pepper
0.25 cup   fresh parmesan
1. Combine meat, egg, bread crumbs and onion together, mix until well combined. Add parsley and garlic, mix until well combined. Add worcestershire, chili sauce, salsa, spices and mix until mixture is smooth and blended.

2. Preheat oven to 375C, grease a standard size loaf pan. Spread mixture evenly in pan and sprinkle with parmesan cheese on top. Bake for 40 - 45 minutes or until no longer pink inside and top evenly browned. Serve warm with potatoes and greens.

3. You could even make gravy from the drippings if you're feeling adventurous. Simply pour the drippings into a small pan and bring to a boil add enough flour to thicken and salt and pepper to season and a bit of water to thin if necessary.

Classic ground spiced meat with a crunchy topping.
