1. Mix lukewarm water and sugar together, then add the yeast and let sit for 5-10 minutes. 2. Combine the shortening, salt, boiling water in a large bowl and stir until dissolved. Let sit for 5-10 minutes allowing it to cool. 3. Add the yeast/sugar-water and beat in half of the flour. Add the remaining flour gradually to make soft dough, which leaves the sides of the bowl. 4. Round the dough into a ball and knead for 3-5 minutes.
