Winter Squash


Equally as good in summer

Ingredients
1   Butternut or Acorn Squash-Halved
2 tbsp 30 ml   Honey
1 tbsp 15 ml   Butter
1 tsp 5 ml   Cinnamon
1 tsp 5 ml   Ground black pepper
  Sprinkling of Salt
0.3 cup 80 ml   Chopped nuts (Pecans/hazelnuts/walnuts)

 
1. Preheat oven to 400 F

2. Halve the squash with a large and sharp knife. And then cut into quarters or eighths. Scoop out the squash seeds, and place the squash quarters onto a baking sheet.

3. Melt the butter. Brush the squash with butter and drizzle with the honey. Sprinkle the open faced squash with the cinnamon, pepper, salt and nuts.

4. Bake for 40 minutes.
