Yam Fries


The New Black

Ingredients
2   Yams
1 tsp 5 ml   Cayenne
1 tsp 5 ml   Sea Salt
1 tsp 5 ml   Cracked black pepper
1 tbsp 15 ml   Olive Oil
0.5 tsp 2 ml   Smoked Paprika

 
1. Preheat oven to 400*F. Wash yams and remove any offensive bits or blemishes. Cut the yams into long thick fry sized pieces.

2. Toss yams, cayenne, smoked paprika, salt, pepper and olive oil in a small bowl, and lay out home fries on a baking sheet. Bake for 20-25 minutes, tossing a couple times so as to evenly bake on all sides.

3. Great with chipolte mayo, or a lime aioli. These could also be made with a mix of sweet potatoes and yams, or solely with sweet potatoes. Good either way.
